Agent compliance for the EU AI Act
When an AI agent acts on Norwegian regulatory infrastructure, EU AI Act concepts like human oversight, logging and transparency become practical requirements. This page shows how Apier’s features map to those concepts — in the Act’s own vocabulary.
Why this matters for agents
An agent that reads obligations, evaluates deadlines and — with approval — submits to government takes decisions with consequences. The EU AI Act emphasises that such systems have human oversight, verifiable logging, and transparency about what the system did and why. Those are exactly the properties Apier is built around.
How Apier maps to the concepts
Human oversight
Binding actions can require human approval before they execute (human-in-the-loop). An agent can prepare a submission, but a person with authority approves it — the action is held until that approval exists.
Record-keeping & logging
Every action is written to an append-only audit log, and every response carries provenance — a hash and a timestamp — so what happened can be reconstructed afterwards.
Transparency
Answers are deterministic and versioned: the same input and the same rulebook version produce the same answer, and every response states which version and data source it rests on via a _meta envelope.
